Organizational conflict is necessary, and productive, if handled effectively.
Constructive conflict can be a door to improving your systems, saving everyone's time, improving communication, saving money, and retaining clients and customers.
The tide is turning. Organizations are recognizing the cost of conflict, which includes the cost of the organization held back by unhappy, unproductive, and disconnected staff.
How much time and money is your company spending on conflict? Managers spend anywhere from 20% + of their time on conflicts.
I work in a team with an international conflict expert and educator. One approach we use is appreciative inquiry, a positive questioning and visioning approach that allows full participation, and develops systems so that people are allowed and encouraged to dialogue, connect, and work together openly, with emotional safely, and in line with the bottom line of the organization. Together we create a plan based on the results. You may need training, coaching, or an entire Integrated Conflict Management System (ICMS).
I offer conflict coaching for valued staff, management, and executives who want to objectively listen, question deeper, and make conflict productive, or if they want to resolve their conflicts as part of their personal growth.
If you need mediation, I can guide the people involved through dialogue and possible resolution. Mediated agreements are made by the people in the conflict. We can approach the dialogue through problem-solving, or from an appreciative, shared-vision approach. |
